Rev., Dr. Reginald Tarpely
The Rev. Dr. Reginald Tarpley is a “Marylander” having grown up in Prince Georges County in the town of Seat Pleasant. Reverend Tarpley has been an ordained minister of the Church of Christ for over 15 years. He has served in the capacity of Youth Minister, Associate Minister and Full-Time Minister to various congregations in Texas, Florida, and Virginia. During the 2009 session of the Baltimore-Washington Conference, Reverend Tarpley was appointed Assistant Pastor of the Albright/Petworth/Van Buren UMC Cooperative Parish in Washington, DC. Currently Reverend Tarpley proudly serves The Journey Of Faith UMC as Senior Pastor. Reverend Tarpley preaches and teaches with true passion and truly enjoys evangelizing the Word of God and equipping the saints for the work of ministry. In May 2010, Reverend Tarpley earned a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University School of Divinity. In May 2012, Reverend Tarpley received an earned Doctorate of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio with a concentration in Prophetic Preaching In The Black Church in The 21st Century and Church Leadership. Reverend Tarpley is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. where he has served as Alpha Sigma Chapter Chaplain and Co-Coordinator of the Alpha Sigma Botillion Scholarship Program for male high school students. He is proudly married to native Annapolitan, Debbie Holland Tarpley.
